Can I speed this machine up?

I have an old XP based machine that I use only to access my office. It is way too slow compared to my new Windows7 machine. My company only supports XP thru it's firewall so I can't use my new machine. Is there something, like RAM, that I can add to speed this machine up? My other option is to buy the least expensive basic XP machine I can find, but what should I look for? I don't need a huge hard drive. What I have is actually way more than I need.
